B1900 Pilot Initial Type Rating

Course Content
  • Pilot Orientated Aircraft Technical & EFIS Training
  • Weight & Balance, Flight Planning, Performance
  • ACAS / TCAS II Theory Certification
  • Multi Crew Cooperation, Risk Management and SOPs
  • Cockpit Procedures Training – Normal Procedures; and
  • Cockpit Procedures Training – Abnormal/Emergency Procedures
  • Simulator Training – 16 hours (8 hrs Pilot Flying, 8 hrs Pilot Monitoring) 8 hours of simulator will be on a level D B1900 Full Motion Simulator!
  • B1900 Base Checkride – 42 mins (from the Left Seat)
  • Over 60 hrs Ground School, 16 hrs Sim, 42 minutes Aircraft
  • Note: Course Length is 21-25 days (includes some weekend training)

B1900 Pilot 3 Day Recurrent Training (min 2 pilots)

Course Content
  • DAY 1 – Aircraft Technical Review, including CFIT and Windshear Recovery Techniques, plus Risk Management Review
  • DAY 2 – Simulator Training (4 hrs)
  • DAY 3 – Simulator Training & Prof Check (4 hrs)
  • Total 6 hrs Ground School, 8 hrs Sim

B1900 Pilot Proficiency Check – without IF renewal

Course Content
  • Complete Technical and AWOPS Quiz (pre-issued by 43AT)
  • Proficiency Check Briefing with Instructor – including review of Quiz
  • Simulator Check – 1h30 mins per pilot covering normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, plus company specific scenarios
  • Total 1 hr Briefing, 1:30 mins Simulator
  • Proficiency Check Valid for 6 months as per SA-CAT-OPS 135/121

B1900 Pilot Proficiency Check – with IF renewal

Course Content
  • Complete Technical and AWOPS Quiz (pre-issued by 43AT)
  • Proficiency Check & IF Renewal Briefing with Instructor – including review of Quiz & IF Oral Test
  • Simulator Check – 2 hours per pilot covering normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, plus company specific scenarios and Instrument Rating Renewal Aspects
  • Total 2 hrs Briefing, 2 hrs Simulator
  • Proficiency Check Valid for 6 months as per SA-CAT-OPS 135/121
