C208B Pilot Initial Type Rating

Course Content
  • Aircraft Technical Training
  • Weight & Balance, Flight Planning, Performance
  • Multi Crew Cooperation, Risk Management and SOPs
  • Cockpit Procedures Training – Normal Procedures
  • Cockpit Procedures Training – Abnormal/Emergency Procedures
  • Simulator Training – 4 hours (4 hrs Pilot Flying)
  • Aircraft Flying and Skills Test – 2 hours (from the Left Seat)
  • Total 36 hrs Ground School, 4 hrs Sim, 2 hours Aircraft
  • Note: Course Length is between 7-12 days (includes some weekend training)
  • Initial Type Rating includes a Proficiency Check Valid for 6 months as per SA-CAT-OPS 135/121

C208B Pilot 3 Day Recurrent Training (min 2 pilots)

Course Content
  • DAY 1 – Aircraft Technical Review, including CFIT and Windshear Recovery Techniques, plus Risk Management Review
  • DAY 2 – Simulator Training (3 hrs)
  • DAY 3 – Simulator Training & Prof Check (3 hrs)
  • Total 6 hrs Ground School, 6 hrs Sim
  • Proficiency Check Valid for 6 months as per SA-CAT-OPS 135/121

C208B Pilot Proficiency Check – without IF renewal

Course Content
  • Complete Technical and AWOPS Quiz (pre-issued by 43AT)
  • Proficiency Check Briefing with Instructor – including review of Quiz
  • Simulator Check – 1h30 mins per pilot covering normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, plus company specific scenarios
  • Total 1 hr Briefing, 1:30 mins Simulator
  • Proficiency Check Valid for 6 months as per SA-CAT-OPS 135/121

C208B Pilot Proficiency Check – with IF renewal

Course Content
  • Complete Technical and AWOPS Quiz (pre-issued by 43AT)
  • Proficiency Check & IF Renewal Briefing with Instructor – including review of Quiz & IF Oral Test
  • Simulator Check – 2 hours per pilot covering normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, plus company specific scenarios and Instrument Rating Renewal Aspects
  • Total 2 hrs Briefing, 2 hrs Simulator
  • Proficiency Check Valid for 6 months as per SA-CAT-OPS 135/121
